✧ Why This Story?
Anne Frank has become a historical figure, but she was first a daughter, sister, friend, writer, and teenager. Her diary matters because she paid attention. She recorded the difficult truth of people living together under unbearable circumstances. She noticed their irritations, tenderness, failures, humor, and hope.
We chose this play because remembrance must remain human. History becomes harder to dismiss when we recognize the people inside it.
About This Production
The PaperMap space will be used as the Annex rather than simply containing a set representing one.
Audiences will feel the closeness, limitations, and shared routines of the hiding place. The staging will be spare and direct, allowing the performances and relationships to carry the weight of the story. We will approach the historical context and rehearsal process with care, respect, and a commitment to truthful storytelling.
Auditions
Auditions are currently anticipated for late March or early April 2027.
Rehearsals will generally take place on weekday evenings for approximately four weeks.
Who Should Audition?
This production may be a good fit for performers who are ready to:

New and returning performers are welcome. Experience is valuable, but seriousness of purpose, reliability, and generosity matter just as much.
